This intake system is made by modifying the genuine air cleaner box, adding a “Carbon Duct” and combining it with a special “Carbon Air Guide”.
【concept】
- A fresh air intake has been added to the Carbon Air Guide to direct the fresh air to the additional duct.
- The factory air box has been modified to provide an intake opening area that is approximately 1.8 times larger than the factory opening.
- The shape has been designed to reduce airflow resistance while not adversely affecting the original control.

- Utilizing the dry carbon (3k twill weave prepreg) material, it expresses strength and sharpness.
- The moment you open the hood, you’ll feel an overwhelming presence that sets it apart from the original.
- When combined with the separately sold Carbon Engine Cover and Carbon Fuse Box Cover, the result is an even more striking design.

Carbon Air Guide
●The Carbon Air Guide will replace the original part.
●Fresh air is taken in from the opening at the front of the bumper and directed to the added Carbon Duct through the opening below the Carbon Air Guide.
●The shape of the Carbon Air Guide is designed to guide fresh air into the Carbon Duct while retaining the look and feel of the Fairlady Z.
The opening area is approximately 1.8 times larger than the original air cleaner box opening, reducing airflow resistance.
Genuine RH opening area: 4183mm 2
Additional RH opening area: 3304mm 2
Genuine LH opening area: 4283mm 2
Additional LH opening area: 3366mm 2
●The Carbon Duct is installed on the air cleaner box using trim clips.
