The ultimate multi-performer, with the fun of being able to control it at will and the versatility to adapt to anything from circuits to winding roads.

  • For new Fairlady Z owners who drive on circuits, we have developed the Hypermax R with special settings.
  • By combining the increased body rigidity of the new model with the Hypermax R exclusive “LVS” spring, we have achieved a previously unthinkable high rate that combines the firmness required on the circuit with comfort for city driving.
  • The damping adjustment dial has a wide adjustment range and is designed to allow the changes to be clearly felt, so you can set it to suit the situation, not only on the circuit but also for everyday use.
  • The circuit test was conducted at the Fuji Speedway racing course using ADVAN A052 275/35R19 tires. We recommend setting the damping dial to around 8th for the front and 6th for the rear. Please use this as a reference for your settings.
  • Although it is a sports model, it comes with a two-year/40,000km warranty.

*1. Height from the road surface to the fender arch.
*2. The vehicle height at the time of shipment is a reference measurement data based on the combination of the full kit settings made by HKS in-house. (This is our recommended vehicle height.)
*3. Adjustable range (However, please note that driving at the lower limit in this case will not comply with safety standards.
Also, even if it is within this adjustment range, depending on the vehicle height, interference with the body, arms, etc. may occur, which may cause problems with driving. Please note
that defects such as damper oil leakage caused by using the vehicle height at an extreme lowering from the vehicle height at the time of shipment are not covered by the warranty.)
*4. The range in which it is possible to drive without interference with the body, arms, etc. (However, this may not be the case depending on changes to tire and wheel sizes, etc.)
Note) Data may vary depending on individual vehicle differences and assembly conditions.

■ Points

We have set up the HIPERMAX R with a special setting for the new Fairlady Z owners who drive on the circuit.
By combining the increased body rigidity of the new model with the LVS spring developed for the HIPERMAX R, we have achieved both the comfort of city driving and the firmness required for the circuit, despite the previously unthinkable high rate. The
rear spring can be used with a direct wound ID65 spring, so it is possible to flexibly respond to rate changes.
In addition, the damping adjustment dial has a wide adjustment range and is designed to allow the changes to be felt firmly, making it easy to adjust to suit the situation from the street to the circuit.
In the test at Fuji Speedway, we assumed driving with high grip tires and tested it with ADVAN A052 275/35R19 through. The recommended dial is 8 steps for the front and 6 steps for the rear. Please refer to it when setting it up.
It is a setting with a room for tightening the dial, taking into account the damping adjustment range required when making the front camber adjustable, increasing the rate, installing LSD, etc.
By increasing the rate, you can further improve the firmness, and by decreasing the rate, you can ensure a comfortable ride, so please consider changing the spring rate according to your needs.
During circuit tests, the measurements listed in the test vehicle height are used. This vehicle has a low ground clearance, so please be careful of the ground clearance when driving on public roads.
To adjust the rear dial, holes will be drilled in the interior of the trunk. Grommets are included so that the holes can be hidden when not in use and are not noticeable.
