The latest mechanisms such as the “dual preload valve system” and “wide range needle” are adopted.
The HKS logo on the upper is laser marked, and spring insulators are standard equipment, so there is no need to worry about abnormal noise.

Dual PVS

The preload valve system has been further improved to adopt a dual preload valve,
which cuts the damping force in the high speed range and suppresses unnecessary movement.

■ Points

The FL5 Civic R is equipped with a highly-completed electronically controlled shock absorber, but the height of the vehicle and the clearance between the fender and the tire are of concern.
At HKS, we have repeatedly tested at every stage, aiming to achieve both comfort and sports driving performance while retaining the good qualities of the original.
By actively utilizing the detailed damper settings and advanced bumper rubbers that we have researched for many years, we have achieved an exquisite ride that is firm but not hard.
The steering balance is as the driver desires, making the car feel one size smaller.
In addition, the ride quality is something that cannot be achieved by simply increasing the spring rate, and it also has a texture that you would not expect from a height-adjustable suspension.
By installing helper springs at the front and rear, we have ensured sufficient rebound stroke required for street use.
For owners who are upgrading their tires from the original tires and wheels, we have installed pillow upper mounts as standard.
*If the front winding is less than 46 mm with the original tires and wheels, the tires and suspension will interfere with each other near the steering lock. Please note that this will also change depending on the rim width and offset of the wheels.
