Introducing the ultimate metal catalyzer!!
■ Features
- While the genuine product uses a fine-mesh ceramic catalyst, this product uses a low-density metal catalyst.
- When comparing on one bank, the OEM catalyst has two catalysts (first catalyst 600 cells, second catalyst 400 cells) whereas the HKS catalyst has one catalyst (150 cells), which reduces exhaust resistance significantly.
The catalyst part is a three-way catalyst newly developed for the RZ34, and by optimizing the precious metal ratio and designing it to achieve high exhaust efficiency, it achieves both purification performance and low exhaust pressure, and has obtained an exhaust gas certificate from an official institution. - A thermo seal and a specially designed heat shield are included to protect against heat damage.
- This product is finished to a mirror finish by buffing and TIG welding, with a particular focus on appearance.

●Performance comparison (with HKS catalyzer (hereinafter referred to as HKS catalyzer) only)
By changing to an HKS catalyzer, exhaust resistance is reduced, and even with a vehicle equipped with a genuine muffler, power can be expected to increase around 3500 to 5000 rpm.
In-house testing confirmed the maximum change from the genuine product : power output: 10.8 (14.6)/4700 (kW/(PS) rpm) torque: 22 (2.2)4700 (Nm (kgf・m)/rpm) .
Maximum output (kW/(PS)rpm) | Maximum torque (Nm(kgf・m)/rpm)
Fully normal | 303.1(412.1)/5600 | 569.6(58.0)/2900 |
Genuine muffler + catalyzer | 304.2(413.6)/5600 | 580.1(59.1)/4400 |

*The graphs and values are the results of in-house measurements. They may vary depending on the vehicle and measuring equipment.
*In the case of genuine ECU control, the maximum output value is suppressed by the control, so there is no change in the peak value.
●Performance comparison ( HKS cater + HKS STM installed)
By installing the HKS Catalyzer and HKS STM, exhaust resistance at mid- to high-speed revolutions is greatly reduced, and power can be expected to increase around 3300 to 5700 rpm.
In-house testing confirmed the maximum change from the stock : power output: 14.3 (19.4)/5000 (kW/(PS) rpm) torque: 26.1 (2.6)4700 (Nm (kgf・m)/rpm) .
Maximum output (kW/(PS)rpm) | Maximum torque (Nm(kgf・m)/rpm)

Genuine muffler + catalyzer | 304.2(413.6)/5600 | 580.1(59.1)/4400 |
HKS STM+ catalyzer | 308.2(419.1)/5600 | 583.6(59.5)/4400 |

●Performance comparison (HKS Cat+HKS STM+HKS PE installed)
By installing HKS PE in addition to HKS Cata and HKS STM, you can experience the true value of boost up tuning.
You can expect a wide range of power up from about 2200 to 5700 rpm, and in our internal tests, the maximum change compared to the stock was confirmed to be an increase of 33.3 (45.2) / 4700 (kW / (PS) rpm) and 85.6 (8.7) 3300 (Nm (kgf m) / rpm) .
Maximum output (kW/(PS)rpm) | Maximum torque (Nm(kgf・m)/rpm)

● Performance comparison (flow bench)
In flow bench tests, the HKS catalyst was able to reduce exhaust resistance by approximately 80% compared to the original catalyst.
Point:
Flange (turbocharger connection part) The
genuine catalyst flange has a straight structure with an inner diameter of φ62.5 and is MIG welded on the inside. HKS adopts a tapered shape
with an inner diameter of φ66 instead of the straight structure with an inner diameter of φ62.5 , and changes it to TIG welding on the outside to reduce exhaust resistance.
~Catalyst~
Newly designed HKS 150 cell catalyst. We were able to improve purification performance while reducing exhaust resistance.
Flange difference (cross section)
● Performance comparison (secondary exhaust pressure comparison)
By installing an HKS catalyzer, the increase in secondary exhaust pressure can be suppressed in response to an increase in engine speed.
The lower this exhaust pressure is, the less load there is for the same output, allowing for more margin.
By replacing only the HKS catalyzer, secondary exhaust pressure can
be reduced by up to 32% compared to the stock
, and by replacing the HKS catalyzer with the HKS STM, it can be reduced by
up to 74% compared to the stock .
Maximum secondary exhaust pressure (kPa/rpm)
Fully normal | 170.8/6400 |
Genuine muffler + catalyzer | 145.4/6550 |
HKS STM+ catalyzer | 113.2/6450 |

*Graphs and values are based on in-house measurements. They may vary depending on the vehicle and measuring equipment.
*Secondary exhaust pressure: exhaust pressure from downstream of the turbocharger to upstream of the first catalyst.
*Pressures in the table are absolute pressures.
●Sound comparison
By installing the HKS Catalyzer, the sound coming from the muffler will also change.
The mid-to-high range above 250Hz, which is considered to be comfortable, is tuned to produce a sporty sound that is more like a V6 engine .
*Replacing the catalyst will increase nearby exhaust noise. When combined with our muffler, it will comply with safety standards, so you can use it with peace of mind.

HKS Catalyzer + Genuine Muffler | 84 |
Genuine catalyst + genuine muffler | 80 |
